Yoga & Pilates

In HomeYoga we offer Yoga and Pilates sessions that everybody can enjoy and benefit from, no matter your age, experience or physical condition. Not very sure which one you want to go for? Here´s some info:

Yoga: the word “yoga” itself means “Union”, and that is union of body, mind and soul. Yoga is a practice that combines pysical activity (asanas and other exercises), pranayama (breathing control), mudras (gesture with hands and fingers), mantras (sounds), relaxation and meditation. But yoga is also, and mainly, a process. Even though you will be able to notice some results pretty soon in time, the bigger and deeper changes will begin to take place only if you are constant and true to yourself.

Good for: general flexibility and strength, anxiety and stress, physical and mental balance.

Mat Pilates: a complete exercise method developed by its founder, Joseph Pilates, over the course of a lifetime dedicated to improving physical and mental health. Pilates works the whole body through a range of mat based exercises, re-balancing muscle use throughout the entire musculoskeletal system. The exercises build the body’s core strength and improve posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises, which develop muscles without adding bulk.

Good for: core strengthening, lower back issues, good posture, general physical condition.

Both disciplines are designed for people who have daily responsibilities and activities both at home and away. We can help you become more effective, natural and healthy, no matter what you do. And the best part is that both yoga and pilates can be practised by anyone, regardless of their physical condition (except for severe mobility limitations). You do not need to be very flexible or strong, as these are conditions that can be gained with regular practice.
